We will be interacting with the magical and acrobatic Spinner Dolphins. We will also be swimming with the ancient sea turtles. These encounters are life-changing. The Big Island of Hawaii is a place of contrasts. Called by some The Orchid Island, it produces more of these delicate blooms than anywhere else on earth. Hawaii is also known as the Volcano Island: Pele, the powerful fire goddess of ancient legend, regularly sends rivers of lava spewing from the world's largest and most active volcanoes. We will be exploring many facets of this sacred isle including Akaka Falls, Lava Tree State Park, the City of Refuge, and Volcano National Park. On this tour you will have the opportunity to participate in a firewalk experience and to receive introductory scuba diving instruction. We may also observe red hot lava flowing into the sea.
